Tribute & Message From The Family

Louisa M. Diggs (nee Hagenkotter)
July 16, 1935 to July 16, 2020
Born in West Philadelphia, a graduate of West Catholic High School, Louisa married Robert Diggs in February 1960. They resided in South Philadelphia where they quickly began their family. Louisa moved to Folcroft Delaware County in 1965 where she has resided for 55 years. Louisa is remembered for her volunteer work, especially with children as a longtime lunch room mom at St. Gabriel's Parish School, Girl Scout troop leader, Boy Scout Cub leader, girls' softball and boys' baseball coach, and her ultimate coaching love -- women's softball. Louisa loved talking football, especially Philadelphia Eagles football. She had an uncanny love and understanding of the game and spent hours chatting about players, plays and strategy with anyone who was interested. Louisa was known for being a sassy, creative lady, and loving family woman.
Louisa is survived by her husband Bob Sr, her three children Lorraine (Bob), Bobby Jr, and Maria (Bob), her grandchildren Robert Andrew (Brooke), Robin (David), Bobby (Lauren) and her great-grandchildren Ryan, Haley, Kayla, Olivia and Gunnar.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 24th at 10:00 a.m. followed by memorial service at 11:00. Cavanagh Funeral Home, 301 Chester Pike, Norwood, PA 19074.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital
