Daniel was my first love, we met when I was in my early teens. He was shy and soo handsome. He introduced me to the Grateful Dead who I still love and introduced to my children who know stories about Dan and I going to shows. He was always very smart and loved any new gadgets. He bought me my first CD player when they just came out. He loved going to Cape May and concerts. He was always thinking. I am so sorry for the family as I know he always loved all of you. I know he loved Johanna and Kevin and Joe and he adored his mother. He loved to talk to his dad about stamps and just was a gentle soul.

Our deepest sympathy to Dan's family. He was such a wonderful person and we will miss him terribly. We are going to miss sitting around the table and sharing fantastic beers while having lively conversations. He was smart as a whip and had a wicked sense of humor. No one can ever take his place. Proost, Dan, see you on the other side.

I was so very sorry to hear of Dan's passing...we were so very hopeful he had been victorious in his battle against cancer. Dan and I shared beers and conversations quite a bit over the past 15 years. We were not terribly involved in each other's lives, but, we were the best of acquaintances. He was passionate about doing things well...whether at work, or in the beer which was just served to him. He loved trying the best new things, and talking about what made them great. In the cancer years, we connected as survivors. He didn't share personal information easily; but, this season in life seemed to teach him that sharing his hopes an fears made things a bit easier. I will miss him...as will plenty of others from my group of friends. My deepest prayer is that his family is shown the great mercy of God, and that my old buddy Dan is raising a beautiful Belgian beer, as I raise mine, in a place where cancer has no place and and love is in abundance.
