My name is Michelle (DiCocco) Stephens and Liz was my first tennis coach. As a freshman at O'Hara, I never played tennis before and because she believed in me and privately coached me, I became first in the district within my first year of playing tennis. Under her coaching, we won O'Hara's first (I believe) Catholic Academy League Championship in tennis my Junior year. Because of her influence and guidance, I played Division I tennis at Georgetown University. I credit her with the incredible opportunities and successes that have come from going to Georgetown and playing tennis because she was the catalyst that led me to fall in love with the game. She coached me well not only for the game but for what I experienced beyond the game of tennis. I'll never forget how she deeply cared for me and our whole team. I've cried with her and experienced overwhelming joy with her and for that I am so grateful. I am praying for the family and friends of Liz...that they experience overwhelming peace and wisdom during this difficult time.
With love,
