Bruce W. Johnson, 71 of Schuylkill Haven (formerly Ridley Park) passed away Wednesday Jan. 25, 2017 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill in Pottsville. He was born in Philadelphia Dec. 3, 1945 to the late Casper & Virginia (Shurter) Johnson. Bruce was a 1964 Graduate of Ridley Park HS and proudly served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a life member of Veterans of Vietnam War Post 29, Schuylkill Co. where he was past Commander and past Vice Commander. He was also a member and past Sergeant at Arms at the Robert E. Baker American Legion Post 38 in Schuylkill Haven. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Kathleen Koch Johnson and their beloved Australian shepherds.
Survivors include: Companion Kathleen Kimmel of Schuylkill Haven, John Koch (Linda) of Delaware, James Koch (Cheryl) of Boyertown, Kristina Koch Gartside (Thomas), Ronald Koch (Maureen) and Lawrence Koch all of Ridley Park, Edward Koch (Cathy) of Nottingham, and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and a countless number of friends and Harley Riders. Also survived by brother, James Johnson.
Family and friends are invited to attend his Graveside Memorial Service at 1 PM on Saturday Feb. 4, 2017 at Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
