He had a rare quality to make everyone he spoke to feel like they were the most important person to him. He always took the time to really talk with people and his genuine care and concern were so obvious. You always knew he was really listening when you talked. He wanted everyone to be as happy as he was...always with a smile...leaving others smiling too! He will be so missed!"

"Very hard to put into words how much Richie meant to me and my family. Over the last few years talking to Richie became part of my daily routine. We would usually chat for an hour about all different topics. He tried talking about sports but I'd usually change the subject to movies and celebrities! I loved to tell him that most of the Adam Sandler movies stunk but Richie loved them all. That was one of his special qualities, Richie enjoyed everything he did, he found something positive in everything and everyone. He was always telling me how proud he was of my children and was always giving them words of encouragement. Everyday I have something new to tell Richie and I am so sad he's not here for me to call. He is missed by my family."

When the stress of life would weigh down on me I would remember my conversations with Richie and the joy he experienced from a simple phone call and talking about his family. No conversation went by without multiple "I love you's" from Richie. It served and will continue to serve as a reminder of the important things in life.
